Today, the Kanbayashi Shunsho family remains the sole surviving lineage of Uji’s historic tea masters, upholding over 450 years of tradition. Biwa no Shiro has a rich and layered taste. It features a clear nutty flavor, similar to macadamia and cashew, with a gentle woody note like sandalwood. The result is a smooth, umami rich matcha with a sweet, nutty aftertaste that lingers.
