Chawan Kyo-yaki – Heian Shiun "Yui Karakusa" Motif
A refined Kyo-yaki (Kyoto ware) matcha bowl crafted by the artisan Heian Shiun, featuring the elegant Yui Karakusamotif. The design showcases flowing arabesque vines (karakusa), symbolising prosperity, longevity, and continuous growth in Japanese decorative arts.
The bowl is finished in a soft ivory crackle glaze, creating a subtle sense of age and character. Delicately hand-painted traditional Japanese patterns are accented with colourful enamels and fine gold detailing, resulting in a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic.
