Kanbayashi Shunsho family is one of Uji’s most esteemed tea producers, carrying a legacy of more than fifteen generations dating back to the Eiroku era (around 1560). Today, the Kanbayashi Shunsho family remains the sole surviving lineage of Uji’s historic tea masters, upholding over 450 years of tradition. Their enduring commitment to craftsmanship and quality continues to define their celebrated approach to tea.

This is a special matcha blend for Omotesenke tea school, preferred by Master Fushinan Yuusai.

pens with bold, fresh notes that transition into a smooth, almond like creaminess with hints of white beans and roasted nuts. It leaves a long lasting umami sweetness with virtually no bitterness.

How to Prepare

Sift 1–2 tsp of matcha into a bowl. Add 60–80 ml of hot water (80°C). Whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy. Enjoy it straight or add milk for a creamy matcha latte.
