The Kanbayashi Shunsho family is one of Uji’s most esteemed tea producers, carrying a legacy of more than fifteen generations dating back to the Eiroku era (around 1560). Today, the Kanbayashi Shunsho family remains the sole surviving lineage of Uji’s historic tea masters, upholding over 450 years of tradition. Their enduring commitment to craftsmanship and quality continues to define their celebrated approach to tea.

Goun no Shiro is a smooth, easy-drinking matcha with a light body and rich flavor. Its gentle taste and low bitterness make it ideal for everyday enjoyment.

This matcha is favored by the Urasenke tea school and is said to be Master Konnichian Zabosai preferred choice.

Limited stock available.

How to Prepare

Sift 1–2 tsp of matcha into a bowl. Add 60–80 ml of hot water (80°C). Whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy. Enjoy it straight or add milk for a creamy matcha latte.

Tasting Notes
