Yamamasa Koyamaen's seasonal matcha blend, Shin Matcha made exclusively of first-harvest fresh leaves.
Recommended for usucha (thin tea).
A mild, light, slightly astringent, yet pleasantly full-bodied, tender usucha tea with a pronounced creamy finish and hazelnut notes. It can also be prepared as a thick tea with far more intense, full-bodied, nutty and roasted notes as well as a hint of astringency. Alternatively, it can be consumed as a thin tea, simply pay attention to the appropriate water temperature as the tea can turn bitter at lower temperatures. 80°C water is recommended for usucha tea and 90-95°C for koicha tea.
