Tama no Shiro delivers a harmonious blend of acrid, full bodied, and tart notes. A delicate hint of background bitterness subtly enhances its depth and complexity.
Meaning of “Tama no Shiro” (珠の白):
The name was chosen to commemorate the 60th Shikinen Sengu ceremony at Ise Jingu (Ise Grand Shrine), a sacred tradition marking renewal and dedication.
Grown in the renowned terroir of Uji, Kyoto, this ceremonial grade matcha is crafted from the youngest, most tender first harvest leaves. The result is an ultra smooth, delicate powder with exceptional clarity of flavor, minimal bitterness, and a graceful, lingering sweetness.
