This product is produced by Marukyu Koyamaen the long-established green tea products manufacturer founded in Uji, Kyoto since 1704. They are also a regular prize-winner that they have won 1st prize for Japan's annually-held National Tea Competition for 21 times in total.

Marukyu Koyamaen's Wako features a rich, full-bodied matcha flavor with a mellow, less bitter tone enhanced by a pleasant underlying sweetness.

Refreshing grassy aroma with a hint of floral, rich and creamy without fishiness. Balanced umami, slight bitterness, and a nutty, creamy finish.

How to Prepare

Sift 1–2 tsp of matcha into a bowl. Add 60–80 ml of hot water (80°C). Whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy. Enjoy it straight or add milk for a creamy matcha latte.

Tasting Notes

Taste: Floral notes, balance umami, little grassy, bit nutty, pleasant aftertaste.

Aroma: Nutty, seaweed, vegetal, nori, creamy.
