Ocha no Kanbayashi is one of Uji's oldest tea houses, with a history spanning more than 400 years. Based in Kyoto's renowned tea-growing region, the family continues to produce authentic Japanese teas and matcha, combining generations of expertise with a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship.

Wa Sei New Harvest Matcha

A premium seasonal matcha crafted exclusively from tana gake (traditional shelf shaded) tencha sourced from a single tea farmer. The 2026 harvest is a carefully balanced blend of three renowned Uji cultivars: Asahi, Ujihikari, and Samidori, creating a matcha with exceptional depth, vibrant colour, and refined umami.

Produced in limited quantities, this new harvest matcha captures the freshness and character of the year's first tea leaves. Available only during the harvest season.
