Otowa no Shiro is a matcha blend favoured by Yuyusai iemoto, the 15th generation grand tea master of Omotesenke school.

Otowa no Shiro is a special, limited edition ceremonial grade matcha from Yamamasa Koyamaen. It is known for its smooth, mellow flavor with delicate sweetness and low bitterness, making it ideal for traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. This premium matcha is crafted under the supervision of a tea master and is not part of the brand's regular lineup. 

How to Prepare

Amount: Use 1.5–2 grams (1 teaspoon) of powder.
Water: Pour 80 ml of water heated to 80°C (176°F) over the powder.
Whisking: Whisk with a chasen (bamboo tea whisk) until foamy.
Tip: Sift the matcha powder before use to prevent clumping.
